Exd “Flameproof” Insulated Adaptors

Redapt’s AI-D Series of Insulated Adaptors provide a method of insulating a cable gland (and the cable armour from the equipment into which it has been fixed.

Insulated Adaptors provide a vital safety precaution for systems with sensitive electronic equipment that are reliant on an interference free power supply.

Manufactured from hexagon material to facilitate easy installation, they incorporate a glass filled nylon dielectric insulator between the metallic male thread entering the equipment and the metallic female thread receiving the cable gland.

They may also be used for matching electrical threadforms on hazardous area approved equipment whilst ensuring the integrity and Ex approval of the installation is maintained.

Redapt’s Insulated Adaptors are designed for hazardous area applications and are certified to protection concept Exd “Flameproof” for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 applications.

Approved to the latest international standards insulated adaptors can be supplied with ATEX (CENELEC), IECEx, and GOST-R hazardous area certificates.

In addition CSA approval certificates can be supplied to cover use in North American and Canadian Class I Division 2 and Class I Zone 1 applications.
